Alexandre Duval spent more than 15 years as a distributor of livestock dairy, swine, and poultry equipment before founding Backfarmer in the Sarthe region. His observation: many farmers want to switch to robotic milking or modernize their facilities but cannot afford to invest in new equipment. Carefully selected used equipment is the solution.

Together with his team, he buys, disassembles, inspects, and resells Lely, DeLaval, GEA, and BouMatic milking robots throughout Europe, delivering them to more than 30 countries. Maintenance history, number of milkings, arm condition, vacuum pump, and computer system: every machine is thoroughly inspected before beginning its second life on a new farm.
